Terms of service

These terms apply to your use of the Animalrounds website and application. By creating an account you agree to them.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

1. Who provides the service

Animalrounds is provided by BV Fisser, Baardegem, Belgium, company and VAT number BE 0882.030.896 ("we", "us"). "Service" means the Animalrounds website and application, with which owners, stables, farms, carers, vets and transporters plan and share the care of animals. Questions: info@animalrounds.com.

2. The product is being built

Animalrounds is actively being built. Features are added, screens change now and then, and there are bugs we have not found yet. We do our best to keep the Service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability: maintenance, an outage at a provider or a mistake of ours can make the app unusable for a while. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.

So do not rely on it as the only place where something lives that you cannot afford to lose. You can export your organisation's data as a JSON file at any time under Settings; do that once in a while.

3. Accounts and organisations

You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details and for keeping your login secure. Data in Animalrounds belongs to an organisation; its administrators decide who may join and with which permissions. Only enter animals you own or are allowed to manage. If you use Animalrounds to keep data about your staff — time tracking, for instance — you are the controller for that data and you must tell them about it.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service unlawfully, or to store data you have no right to store.
  • Do not attempt to access data belonging to organisations you are not a member of, or to circumvent the placement and scope model.
  • Do not overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service, or resell it without a written agreement.
  • Do not upload malware or content that is illegal, abusive or infringing.

5. Animal data and access

The organisation that owns an animal controls who may access its data. Access is scoped, can be given an end date and can be revoked at any time. You are responsible for what you grant and to whom. What you see through such access may only be used for the care, treatment or transport of that animal. Records created by an organisation while it had access remain part of the animal's history.

6. Not veterinary advice

Animalrounds stores and shows what people enter themselves. It gives no veterinary advice, it does not check dosages and it does not diagnose. A reminder that fails to arrive, or a plan that was filled in wrongly, changes nothing about your own responsibility for the animal. If you are unsure about a treatment, a medicine or a dose, call the vet — not the app. In an emergency, call a vet straight away.

7. Plans and billing

  • An owner with their own animals uses Animalrounds free of charge.
  • Paid plans for places are not live yet: we cannot take payment today, so nothing is being charged. The prices on this site are what we intend to ask; nothing is ever charged without you choosing a plan first.
  • When paid plans start, payment runs through the payment service shown at checkout and we do not store card details ourselves. A subscription then runs until you cancel it, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
  • All prices exclude VAT, which is added according to your country and VAT status.
  • If you are a consumer in the EU you have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal, except where the service has already been fully provided with your express consent.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to the data you put into Animalrounds. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process and display it in order to provide the Service. You can export your data at any time.

9. Stopping

You can delete your account or your organisation at any time under Settings. Export what you want to keep first, because deletion is final. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that puts the Service or other users at risk, with notice where reasonably possible. Were we to discontinue Animalrounds, we would say so at least thirty days in advance, so you can take your data with you.

10. Liability

We are liable for damage we cause ourselves, but not without limit. As far as Belgian law allows, our total liability in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from decisions taken about an animal on the basis of data in the Service. Fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence and personal injury always remain fully ours, and nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

Belgian law applies. If we cannot work something out together, the courts of the registered office of BV Fisser have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the mandatory protection you have as a consumer. Consumers in the EU can also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).
