How it works
Handover in one scan, not ten phone calls
Every animal in Animalrounds gets its own QR code. Scanning it is how a place asks for access, and the owner is the only one who can grant it. That is the whole trust model, and it is why nobody ever sees more than they should.
The owner shows the code
Print it for the halter, the box door or the passport sleeve, or show it on your phone. The code belongs to the animal, not to a person.
The stable, vet or driver scans
They pick what they need — care, medical, transport or view-only — and request access. You get a notification straight away.
You approve, and can revoke
Set an end date, or leave it open. One tap ends it. The history of what happened stays; the access does not.
No scan at hand? An owner can also invite a stable, practice or driver straight from the animal, with the same scope and the same end date.

Frequently asked
Is Animalrounds really free for owners?
Yes. If you own animals and are not running a business around them, the owner plan is free with no time limit: full profiles, medical history, feeding and care plans, media, and the live timeline for every animal you own.
What happens when I revoke access?
The other organisation immediately loses sight of your animal — profile, tasks, medical, everything. What they recorded while they had access stays in the animal's history, because that history is yours.
Can a vet see everything?
Only what the medical scope covers, and only while the placement is active: full medical history, medications, feeding and activity. A transport company with the transport scope sees identity, passport, contacts, behaviour and emergency numbers — and nothing else.
Where is my data stored?
In the European Union, on infrastructure in Frankfurt. You can export everything your organisation owns, and you can delete your account and its data from inside the app.
Do I need an app?
No. Animalrounds runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. There is nothing to download from an app store.
Does it work for animals other than horses?
Yes. Horses shaped the first version because stables have the hardest coordination problem, but the record, the tasks and the timeline work just as well for dogs, cattle, goats, alpacas or anything else you tend.
